Concept 1
Choose correct pronoun case (I/me, who/whom) based on sentence role.
Core Idea
Choose pronoun case by job, not by habit. Subject pronouns act, and object pronouns receive the action or follow a preposition.
Understanding
Rule: ACT likes compound phrases because they hide the pronoun's role. The fastest test is to remove the other noun and see which form sounds correct by itself.
- The same logic helps with who and whom. If the pronoun is doing the action, use a subject form. If it is receiving the action, use an object form.
